Team Accomplishments

March 9/10th: Congrats to the Elevate Elite 6th grade team for winning the Charm City Maddness Invitational In Baltimore, MD.  Playing against 6th/7th grade teams they came up with the win 47-40 in the final against a 7th grade team!  


March 15/16th: The girls played in District Heights, Maryland this weekend.  They went 2-1 and finished second in their pool for the 7th grade bracket!  They showed great improvement/growth this past weekend! 


March 29-30th:  The 6th grade team played some good competition against solid 7th grade teams this weekend in West Virginia (Team Adidas Jefferson Tournament).  They went 2-2 overall and played well after slow starts!  The girls really showed they can play against any team or age and look to show their growth/development next weekend in Pittsburgh! 


April 5-6: The girls competed in the BSA Spring Invitational in Pittsburgh, PA.  They went 3-1 losing in the Championship game to an 8th grade Chaos team 35-30 (2nd place).  They had their opportunities to win, but couldnt pull it out at the end.  It was a great effort by the team and they learned a lot from the weekend! 


April 12-13: 6th grade girls played this weekend in the Jefferson Spring Tournament in West Virginia.  They went 4-0 to win the championship!  During the championship, the girls had only 5 players to start the game.  They had one foul out early in the second half, and had to play with 4 the rest of the game.  With good ball control, heart, and toughness, the girls pulled it out against the James River Blaze team 27-25!  Its was an amazing effort for the girls and a great overall weekend!


May 3-4: The girls played up in the DMV Challenge at District Heights.  They went 2-1 for the weekend.  They blew their final game after leading 12-2.  They made a lot of mistakes that beat themselves but they will learn from it.  Have to play with energy every pocession!  Girls are playing at a high level against older teams all season!  Keep up the good work! 


May 24-25:  Girls finished 3rd this weekend in Maryland in the 7th-8th grade bracket.  There were 8 teams in it and they competed well.  Both loses were by 9 and 7 against 8th grade teams.  They had opportunities to take control each game but couldnt pull it out.  Good overall effort! 


May 31-June 1st: The team went 3-0 in the Quad-State Showcase tournament in Frederick, MD.  Great overall weekend! 


Summer League- Finished 9-1 and lost to a rising 9th grade team in the Championship!
